There are a few areas secured from the public for safety reasons. Also, there is a great deal of filming that takes place on the Lane Victory, and there are times when the areas where filming is taking place is closed to the public. Other areas are off limits by United States Coast Guard edict. Furthermore, some areas such as the Engine Room, shaft alley, and the Command Bridge require escorts due to Federal Law. Escorts are usually available but not always.
